Sony announced on its Japanese website that six first party games will launch alongside the PlayStation 3 at the system’s launch presumably this spring. The six titles are Genji 2 (action), Angel Rings (RPG), Monster Carnival (RPG), Everybody’s Golf 5 (sports), Gran Turismo Series (racing) and The Eye of Judgement (TBA). The studios behind the first party Japanese launch releases are based in Japan. There’s no word on American or European first-party studio support at this time, including Killzone 2, nor is there word on third party support. While some fansites are decrying the initial announcement, Xbox 360 only had three first party releases at launch: Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero and Project Gotham Racing 3.
