Skater XL brings community mods, maps, and gear to consoles in December

Skater XL is integrating community-created mods into the core experience on consoles, Easy Day Studios announced today.
The indie studio claims that Skater XL is “one of the first games to integrate true cross-platform” modding. Mod.io powers the community content integration between PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

“To be able to introduce these mods to players on all platforms is a huge step forward, not just for Skater XL but for games evolving towards being open, creative platforms,” says Dain Hedgpeth, co-founder at Easy Day Studios.
Easy Day says that there will be a steady stream of player-created maps and gear. A new trailer out today highlights three user-created maps: Riverfern, Quebec Skate Plaza, and Applewood Park coming to consoles. Expect the new maps and mods starting in December 2020.
