Sony delays PS5 reveal event

The PlayStation 5 reveal event scheduled for this Thursday has been delayed. The news comes in the wake of national protests against racism and police brutality.

“We have decided to postpone the PlayStation 5 event scheduled for June 4,” Sony wrote on PlayStation Blog. “While we understand gamers worldwide are excited to see PS5 games, we do not feel that right now is a time for celebration, and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard.”

The ‘Future of Gaming’ broadcast is expected to reveal a number of PS5 launch titles. A new date has not been set at this time.
