The latest patch of The Last of Us Remastered has decreased load times significantly.
Speedrunner Anthony Calabrese noticed the change and posted this to Twitter:
Patch 1.11 of TLOU made it so loading screens are basically non-existent on PS4. This is for both ssd and hdd. Sections load in asap and I can save almost 18 seconds in the David fight. Everyone go and check. Was this the patch’s intention? @Naughty_Dog @BadData_ @arnemeyer

The improvement is quite significant. As YouTuber ElAnalistaDeBits demonstrates in a new video, the load time decreases from over a minute and a half to just under 14 seconds.

The Last of Us Remastered was released on PS4 back in 2014. So the fact that Naughty Dog patched the game six years later with such a dramatic improvement is quite unexpected, to say the least!
