Treyarch is adding new content to the Call of Duty: Black Ops III multiplayer beta on PS4.
The level cap has been increased to Major (Level 34), which will unlock new weapons, equipment, perks and scorestreaks. The developer also added a new map into the rotation called Stronghold. The map takes place in a high-tech Swiss chateau in the frozen Alps, featuring an asymmetrical design with a lethal mix of exposed sightlines and tight, close quarters combat.
A new specialist is available for players that reach Level 34. The Experimental War Robot (EWR) is a prototype combat robot that has a high power mini-gun for an arm. Its ability is to infiltrate enemy systems to simulate three decoy clones.
Treyarch is also introducing the Uplink game mode to the multiplayer playlist. In Uplink, players face off in an effort to take control of a downed satellite and into the enemy’s goal.
The beta is currently only available on PlayStation 4. It ends on August 23. The Black Ops III beta for PC and Xbox One begins on August 26 through August 30.
