The Orange Box
The Orange Box is quite possibly the best value ever for a video game. And that was when it was $60. It comes with Game of the Year winner Half-Life 2, as well as the episodic content that was released by Valve, Half-Life 2: Episode 1 and Half-Life 2: Episode 2. They didn’t stop there, though. Oh no. They also threw in the multi-player only game Team Fortress 2 and the first-person shooter puzzle game Portal. The package was so good that we even considered it for Game of the Year in 2007. For $20 you would have to be crazy to pass up this instant classic.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
This isn’t just any old RPG. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is the most open-ended free world environment you will encounter in a console RPG. Not only is it vast, it is also highly customizable. From the look of your character, the class and race, as well as what equipment and weapons you use, Elder Scrolls IV puts gamers in control of their own destiny. With optional side quests Elder Scrolls IV will last you dozens of hours at a low cost.

Unreal Tournament 3
This is one of the most respected shooter franchises in gaming. Unreal Tournament 3 started off last holiday season as a PS3 exclusive, but it has since made its way to PC and Xbox 360. The price dropped off rapidly as competition from other shooters mounted. Still for $20 you can’t go wrong.

Virtua Fighter 5
One of the best looking games out there. If you like fighting games you should definitely own Virtua Fighter 5.

Game Freaks 365 Score: 8.2 out of 10
The Darkness
What do you get when the Chronicles of Riddick makers develop for next-gen consoles? A pretty good game, that’s what. The Darkness takes place on the mean streets of New York City and deals with the Italian mob. This isn’t a run-of-the-mill shooter, though. You see, you have these tentacle things hanging from your back known as the Darkness which can literally eat your enemies. The idea of the game is to avoid lights in order to make use of your Darkness powers. It’s not a bad investment for $20.
