When Nintendo is engaged in the creation of games for their platforms in any manner, they don’t hesitate to show off what’s in the works via their Nintendo Direct. Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was featured in the most recent Nintendo Direct, along with the game’s release date.

The Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising campaigns for the Game Boy Advance are brought back to life and given a complete makeover in Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp.

Revamped games with new elements

The two games will be rebuilt from the ground up with new visuals to make the strategic fights and characters seem better than ever, as said at the time. However, not everything will improve in the aesthetic department, since each of the primary characters will now have their unique voice.

More surprises await us as we progress through the stages, such as the ability to speed up the game or redo the turns if we make a mistake. There will be a few more modes added to this, such as one that allows us to create our own maps, as well as a local and online multiplayer option.

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is now available for pre-order on Amazon and the Nintendo eShop. The game will arrive on Nintendo Switch on April 8.
