Arnold Schwarzenegger returns as Dutch in Predator: Hunting Grounds

Arnold Schwarzenegger in Predator: Hunting Grounds

Arnold Schwarzenegger is reprising his role as Dutch from the classic action film Predator. The actor will have his voice and likeness featured in an update to Predator: Hunting Grounds.

“The premise of it is [Dutch] recorded these tapes since ’87 after the first movie,” Jared Gerritzen, the Chief Creative Officer at Illfonic, told Entertainment Weekly. “Throughout these tapes, there are those arrows [pointing to] what he’s doing, kind of like safeguards if he gets killed or captured. These tapes are gonna be used to essentially keep his story going.”

There are actually two updates: one free and the other paid. The free update involves a series of cassette tapes where players can hear in Dutch’s own voice where he’s been over the years. The paid DLC lets you play as Dutch and gain access to his QR5 “Hammerhead” rifle and his knife.

Predator: Hunting Grounds launched last month on PC and PS4. The game features asymmetrical multiplayer where one player controls the Predator. Four other players work as a team of soldiers to either survive or kill the Predator.

The Schwarzenegger update goes live on May 26. The actor has made some cameos lately in video games. Last fall, Arnold appeared in Mortal Kombat 11 as The Terminator.

Meanwhile, the Governator himself tweeted out his appreciation for his appearance in the game:
