Activision and Sledgehammer Games announced today that the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Vanguard is now available worldwide on all platforms.
Activision Blizzard has given Sledgehammer Games only one directive: restore the brilliance of the Call of Duty series, which has waned a bit in recent years. It looks like they might have done just that.
A new chapter in Call of Duty history
Vanguard provides players with a fantastic campaign in which the soul of WWII has been included in every scenario, fight, weapon, and soldier. Furthermore, the multiplayer mode will launch with 20 maps, 12 operators, and over a dozen weapons in the updated Gunsmith. With the Combat Pacing system and the quick and frantic multi-arena survival Champion Hill mode, Vanguard multiplayer introduces new ways to play.
Players can expect a new level of social features, such as clan features and more, that will bring friends together to play together. Vanguard‘s strong connection with Warzone contains the most new Warzone content ever released, including a new map, operators, weapons, and plans, as well as shared advancement and unique access to the Warzone Pacific map beginning December 2nd for Vanguard owners.
Vanguard also includes a franchise-first Zombies crossover produced by Treyarch, which expands on the Dark Aether plot presented in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
An anti-cheat feature for both Warzone and Black Ops: Cold War has been requested by several users since mid-2021. After some research and little leaks on the subject, Sledgehammer appears in the series for the first time.
The Ricochet Anti-Cheat initiative, which was released alongside Vanguard, is a multifaceted approach to combating cheating, with new server-side tools that monitor analytics to identify cheating, enhanced investigation processes to root out cheaters, updates to strengthen account security, and more.
The back-end anti-cheat security capabilities of Ricochet Anti-Cheat will also be available later this year with the release of the Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific map for PC.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is now available on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, as well as the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
