The young but powerful goddess Charybdis is available now in Smite along with the new Odyssey: Perilous Seas event.
If you haven’t played Smite, you may be unaware of how entertaining this third-person MOBA is. The dynamic that Hi-Rez Studios’ game delivers is enhanced by the wide library of gods accessible to pick from.
Today, the studio revealed a new goddess for the ‘Odyssey: Perilous Seas’ event. Charybdis will be the next goddess accessible in Smite starting today. Charybdis may appear to be a kid, but underneath her disguise lies an ever-hungry monster replacing her arm – the Maw, which serves as her primary weapon in combat.

In Greek mythology, Zeus once turned Charybdis into a monster and shackled her to the seafloor alongside the equally afflicted Scylla. Both became sisters in spirit – and in gameplay.
Charybdis, like Scylla, exposes her true essence with her ultimate, launching a single deadly attack with the Maw. If it kills a God, it just hungers for more, and the ability can be repeated. Charybdis acquired the ability to control the tides from her lord father, Poseidon. Her assaults cause the seas to rise, which enhances her skills.
Charybdis is available right now as a new playable Goddess in Smite, belonging to the Hunter class.
Odyssey: Perilous Seas event
Perilous Seas, a new Smite Odyssey event, has begun! Players embark on an epic journey throughout the earth and via the mythological regions. As they attempt to sail over the new Strait of Messina area, they will confront the combined dangers of Charybdis and Scylla reuniting.
Players will be able to acquire hundreds of skins when they are published in stages throughout Odyssey: Perilous Seas until early 2022. Buying skins earns points, which unlock new skins for free as collection bonuses, as well as hundreds of missions with varying prizes.
