E3 2011: Microsoft Press Conference

Today, Microsoft unleashed their 2011-2012 lineup in full force at E3. Here is a brief summary of the games and features announced:

-Mass Effect 3 with Kinect Voice Control
-Ghost Recon: Future Soldier with Kinect Support. A very cool gun customization mode that supports both motion and voice mechanics to let you fully disassemble and reassemble your favorite gun with new parts and features.
-Halo Anniversary is a HD remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved. Everything about the game has been remastered to bring this ten year old classic into the next generation. Full Xbox LIVE support will be included in the way of online multiplayer and co-op.
-Halo 4 was announced with a brief, explosive trailer.
-EA announced that four sports titles will include Kinect support: Madden, Tiger Woods and FIFA were mentioned, with the fourth to be announced later.
-A new Kinect based game entitled RYSE was shown in gory detail. It appears to be a first person gladiator-style game in which you are part of an uprising in Rome to overthrow the powers that be.
-Forza 4 was shown off. It looks incredibly awesome.

Features

-Dana White announced an exclusive partnership with Microsoft allowing users to order and interact with UFC pay per views starting this fall.
-Microsoft is partnering with YouTube for viewing of videos from the service on your Xbox.
-A new Live Tv feature was debuted. With Kinect support, you are able to tell your Xbox to tune into whatever show you can think of. Microsoft has teamed up with multiple networks to allow the viewing of news, sports and your favorite shows.
-The Xbox will now have it’s own version of Bing to make finding all the content you want seamless and easy.

Honestly, Microsoft didn’t have the strongest of E3 showings this year. With Nintendo and Sony still to come, one can only hope there is a jaw-dropping announcement yet to drop. Tune in to Game Freaks 365 tonight at 8 EST, 5 PST for a live blog of the Sony Press Conference.
