According to an exclusive preview of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on IGN, 343 Industries’ enhanced collection for Xbox One will feature an online ranking system very similar to the “Trueskill” system used in the original Halo 2.
Apparently the online multiplayer playlists will feature their own unique skill rankings – wins will add XP, and losses will subtract from your total, which determines your overall player ranking.
There won’t be a unified ranking between all four games – 343 Industries comments on this directly:
“We ultimately decided not to have a ‘master’ ranking across all four games combined, given that player skill and approach varies radically between game chapters.”
Stay tuned, The Master Chief Collection launches November 11.
