Judge Ends Euro PSP Imports

Europeans might not be able to enjoy the wide-screened PlayStation Portable until this September, but one alternative gave gamers in PAL regions some relief. Importer sites are fairly common on the net, but that’s stopping for at least one online importer. So common in fact, that Sony decided to take action.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe sued Nuplayer for selling imported units of its popular handheld to European consumers. SCEE requested the company stop selling the units or face a court challenge. Today, a judge ruled in favor of Sony. Nuplayer will be responsible for ‘substantial costs and damages,’ to the electronics giant and will be required to deliver remaining stock, sales details, supplier data and even customer data.
