The 2D strategy game Nightfall Hacker launches on PC via Steam on March 10.
If you were around in the early 2000s, you might remember a browser game The Nightfall Incident. It’s now regarded as a cult classic of sorts. Nightfall Hacker is a fully-featured homage to that game with additional programs, more levels, and the inclusion of a level editor.
Here’s a description of the game from the UK indie studio Teradile:
In Nightfall Hacker, you’re a freelance hacker – someone who lives and dies by code. Making money is easy: All you need to do is to accept jobs, deliver the goods, and get paid. Win enough new clients, and the world is yours – with the upgraded programs that go along with it. Nevertheless, you eventually come to grips with the fact that black hat hackers are up to something nefarious – and it’s up to you to find out!
Nightfall Hacker will have a 20 percent launch discount. Starting March 17, the game will return to its original retail price of $9.99. It is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux.
