ARTE France is making a comeback in the video game industry with the announcement of the release date of On The Morning You Wake (to the End of the World), a new VR experience.
A documentary VR game that will touch us
In the words of poet and activist Jamaica Heolimeleikalani Osorio, On The Morning You Wake (to the End of the World) is a virtual reality documentary that captures the voices of people who have encountered the genuine and near threat of nuclear bombs.
The use of nuclear weapons is unfathomable, unimaginable, and beyond our control for the vast majority of the people. On The Morning You Wake brings this menace to life and illustrates the basic injustice of a society held hostage by nuclear weapons via the experiences of Hawaii’s residents.
On The Morning You Wake will arrive on Meta Quest 2 (formerly Oculus Quest 2) on March 24. Meanwhile, a 2D version is coming to arte.tv and its YouTube channel on April 19.
