It turns out that Sony’s much-rumored answer to the Super Smash Bros. franchise has finally been confirmed via GTTV – although the game is not called “Title Fight”, as previously thought.

Instead, the “Sony Smash” game will be called PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, which is quite a mouthful – I think “Sony Smash” works just fine for casual conversation.

Below, you can check out the first footage of the game, which runs at 60 FPS (according to GTTV presenter Geoff Keighley), and appears to show off the smooth style of characters such as Sly Cooper, Kratos, and Parappa the Rapper.

Other revealed characters include Radec from Killzone, Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal, and Fat Princess.

Revealed levels appear to be from games like Ratchet and Clank, God of War 3, and LittleBigPlanet. The levels seem to cross universes, with Hades from God of War appearing alongside Patapons. Also, God of War characters can be found in the Ratchet stage. Some stages appear to influence the gameplay – the Buzz! stage has questions that can be answered in the middle of battle, giving players a chance to snag bonuses with correct answers.
