The wait is over. SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated launched today on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
THQ Nordic first announced SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated last October. The cult-classic has been faithfully remade for modern consoles.
Battle for Bikini Bottom was originally released on the PS2, Xbox, and GameCube. The game lets you play as SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy. And now with Rehydrated, you can experience co-op multiplayer for the first time.
In multiplayer mode, two-players team up in either local couch or online co-op. You battle the evil Robo-Squidward and all robots from the main game, wave after wave, across more than twenty islands.
Rehydrated’s multiplayer mode also features four additional playable characters: Mr. Krabs, Gary, Squidward, and Robo-Plankton. Each of them has their own sets of moves and attacks taken straight from the TV series.
