Super Blood Hockey is getting a physical limited edition on Nintendo Switch with some extras.
Premium Edition Games and Canadian game distributor Video Games Plus are releasing it worldwide. The Premium Edition Games physical version features the following items:
- Nintendo Switch physical case and game
- Double-sided insert
- Full-color manual
- A “Special Challenge” trading card
- A logo sticker
- First prints of the game will have a hand-drawn full-color glossy slipcase by legendary artist Paul E. Niemeyer of Mortal Kombat fame.
Super Blood Hockey was first released in 2017 for PC via Steam. It is also available on PS4 and Xbox One. The game received mixed reviews from critics, averaging a 70 out of 100 on OpenCritic. The Steam version is currently on sale for $4.49 at Humble Store.
How to order the physical edition
Pre-orders for the physical edition are available in the US at the Premium Edition Games website. It retails for $39.95 plus shipping and handling. Pre-orders run until September 22 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Their website says that production may take three to four months.
Video Games Plus says that they “will serve as Premium Edition’s international shipping partner, sending copies of Super Blood Hockey to anyone anywhere… except maybe North Korea (even though NK has a team in the game).”
