Madden NFL 21 was the top game download on PlayStation Store in August.
The latest Madden game debuts at number one despite mixed reviews. The game is only averaging a 65 out of 100. Critics are dinging this year’s game for a lack of innovation. There have also been reports of technical flaws and glitches.
Other new titles also cracked into the top 20. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout debuts at #4 on the list of top downloads for the month after being free on PlayStation Plus. Despite that, the game’s Steam sales have topped 7 million.

Meanwhile, three other games on the top downloads list launched in August. They include EA Sports’ UFC 4, PGA Tour 2K21, and Mortal Shell.
