Upcoming Unreal Engine 5 Games That Look Phenomenal

These are some of the most promising upcoming Unreal Engine 5 games that look absolutely phenomenal. Once named “the most successful video game engine” by Guinness World Records, games developed in Unreal Engine have always been extraordinary. We’ve seen many fantastic-looking games developed in UE4, and UE5 is going to raise the bar even higher.

When it was first announced in 2021, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 drove long-time fans wild and blew everyone’s minds with its hyper-realistic visuals and ambitious gameplay. After that, the game was delayed multiple times because of the situation in Ukraine.

Now, the game is set to release on December 2023. Inarguably, this game was one of the best-looking reveals back in 2021. With the new gameplay details and trailer we got, it’s safe to say that this game indeed looks phenomenal.

Black Myth: Wukong

Black Myth: Wukong is another game that I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. The Chinese indie developer Game Science developed this game based on the 16th-century novel, Journey to the West.

In this epic, you play as the Monkey King himself, Wukong. Wielding a staff, the game will see the players battling unique foes from Chinese mythology through beautifully crafted environments. So far, many things in this game look very promising and that includes the mind-blowing visuals.

Silent Hill 2

A highly anticipated remake of a classic horror game, Silent Hill 2 will see the player back in the titular foggy town of Silent Hill, except this time, the visuals and gameplay are drastically improved. Featuring the third-person perspective instead of the fixed camera from the first game, the gameplay looks great and up to standards.

The visuals, though, are probably the part that stands out the most. The original Silent Hill 2 was praised for its atmospheric appearance, and this remake keeps the iconic atmosphere intact while improving it in every aspect.

Unrecord

Unrecord was first thought to be a convincing game that was never real. It has since been revealed that this unbelievably realistic shooter is indeed real. Featuring bodycam first-person shooting, there really is nothing else that looks as close to life as this game. It’s rumored to feature thrilling shooting, choices, and thriller elements.

Other than the seriously impressive gameplay footage we’ve seen, there’s no release date or any other substantial information as of yet. In any case, let us all hope that this game is not too good to be true, because I, for one, am already hyped for it.

Project M

Project M is an ambitious narrative-driven cinematic adventure game that has sci-fi elements. Being developed by the Korean developer NCSoft, this game’s visuals are actually something else. Other than the obviously great lighting and texture work, the hyper-realistic facial animations would make people think that this is actually a movie.

Many people are calling Project M a hybrid between Detroit: Become Human and Quantum Break. With choices similar to Detroit and certain sections, like the gunplay, resembling Quantum Break, I have high hopes for this ambitious title.
