Whalien: Unexpected Guests was revealed during Steam Next Fest.
Austrian indie developer Forbidden Folds has revealed a new third-person puzzle adventure set in a mechanical whale. It’s called Whalien: Unexpected Guests and it’s coming to PC via Steam.
Here is a description of the game from Forbidden Folds:
Fin, the mechanical whale, is the home of Ernest Hemingwhale. In fact, Ernest is Fin’s sole remaining inhabitant and as such is tasked with keeping him safe and running smoothly. When mysterious and dangerous Squiddies begin taking over Fin’s body, it’s up to Ernest to take down the slimy threats.
Players will use their wits and special gloves with magnet-like powers (Mr. Push and Mrs. Pull) to manipulate objects that are within the environment. You’ll solve puzzles in unique, vibrant, and colorful environments while meeting loveable characters. Your ultimate goal is to send the Squiddies packing.
As part of the announcement, the company also revealed that a free demo of the game is now available for download as part of Steam Next Fest. You can also wishlist the game on Steam.
