Breakwaters will reportedly feature the largest ocean simulation in a game, creating a one-of-a-kind interactive open-world experience.
Indie studio Soaring Pixels Games announced today that its survival adventure game, Breakwaters, will be available on Steam Early Access this November.
Experience an ocean adventure like no other
One of the first things players will notice in Breakwaters is that water behaves differently here. Water is displaced by powerful crystals, revealing resources to harvest and quests to complete. You’re surrounded by a sea of mysteries and possibilities.
Different strategies, such as building walls to hold back the ocean or blocking the waves, are critical to rebuilding and assisting the world in recovering from the titans’ constant chaos. Players can explore a procedural world with dangerous ocean depths and nearby islands alone or with friends, fighting or avoiding the terrifying Titans.
“We’ve had a lot of fun over the last 5 months during our closed beta testing. Seeing how fans interact with and experience the game has been a blast, and it has been incredibly valuable during development,” said Phillip Heckinger, Director at Soaring Pixels.
“Thanks to this feedback from our fans and our amazing community, we’re now ready to commit to an Early Access delivery date and we can’t wait to start our journey to a full launch,” he added.
Breakwaters will be released on Steam Early Access on November 11 for $20. Soaring Pixels Games is planning to release the game for both PC and consoles for its full release.
