Dune: Spice Wars has a new Early Access roadmap.
Dune: Spice Wars launched in Early Access in April. Based on Frank Herbert’s seminal novel Dune, this real-time strategy game with 4X elements is set on the legendary desert planet of Arrakis. Now Funcom and developer Shiro Games hope to keep the spice flowing with new content, which they just revealed today.

“The roadmap promises several major features, such as multiplayer, a new faction, and hero units, but the list is not exhaustive. Players will also see improvements across the board with every update, including the addition of new features,” Funcom says.
According to the company, multiplayer is the current priority for the team. They then plan to add an unannounced new faction and bring iconic characters from Dune to life as controllable hero units. In addition, the Air and Sand Update will dig deeper into the warfare, introducing new units and tactical elements to the mix.
