Square Enix today announced Neo: The World Ends with You. The long-awaited follow-up to the classic RPG is coming this summer to PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
Neo: The World Ends with You is a social simulation ARPG with unique gameplay. If you played Persona 5, you will find many similarities both in aesthetics and in specific game mechanics.
The long-awaited follow-up is coming soon
The sequel follows the protagonist, Rindo, as he explores Tokyo’s heart to uncover the mysteries behind the sinister “Reapers’ Game.” For those who didn’t play The World Ends with You, the Reapers Game is a life-or-death battle for survival in which Rindo, the main character of the game, has been forced to take part.
Neo: The World Ends with You combines a striking, manga-style Shibuya with fast-paced gameplay and an intriguing story to create an unforgettable experience. We can see these factors present in the latest ARPGs coming out of Japan.

A new trailer that was released today offers fans an introduction to a new cast of characters, as well as a vibrant and fashionable equipment system. Also, we got a peek at the game’s hyper-stylish action battle system and much more.
A rockin’ soundtrack
The game will rock an amped-up soundtrack from composer Takeharu Ishimoto from Thrill Inc. The composer gifted us iconic soundtracks in the Final Fantasy series, Kingdom Hearts, and the original The World Ends with You for Nintendo DS.
Players can explore and enjoy the sights, sounds, and culture of this bustling city. Fight monsters alongside their allies in flashy battles and complete missions as they learn more about the “Reapers’ Game” and fight to change the fate they’ve been handed.
Neo: The World Ends with You will release on July 27 for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Square Enix also confirmed a PC version of the game will launch on the Epic Games Store later this summer.
Pre-orders for physical and digital versions of Neo: The World Ends with You for PS4 and the physical version for the Nintendo Switch are available starting today.
