Short Sleeve Studios has revealed the first information for Voodoo Detective, a new 2D point-and-click adventure game for PC and mobile. Voodoo Detective will launch next year, complete with gorgeous hand-drawn artwork, character voice acting, and an amazing tale.

A mix of voodoo tradition and colonial corruption

The game is set in New Ginen, a small island community steeped in rich voodoo tradition that has been invaded by big retailers and infected by pampered visitors. In a desperate struggle for existence, local color and colonial corruption collide.

Join Detective Voodoo as he investigates the case of a mysterious lady with no background who finds herself at the center of a narrative so complex that reality’s threads threaten to unravel. In a case where danger lurks behind every secret, every moment could be the last.

A point-and-click game with a cast full of industry veterans

With amusing puzzles, beautiful visual effects, and professional voice acting, Voodoo Detective resurrects the old-school appeal of classic 2D point-and-click adventure games.

Talent includes voice director Darragh O’Farrell, composer Peter McConnell, animator John MacFarlane, sound designer Julian Kwasneski, and others. The team has worked on projects such as The Curse of Monkey Island, Psychonauts 2, The Iron Giant, and The Simpsons.

Voodoo Detective is set to be released in 2022 for PC, Android, and iOS.
