Curious what Grand Theft Auto V looks like on PS5?
Video Game Chronicles has released 30 minutes of gameplay footage from GTA V running on the PlayStation 5. The next-gen console version was announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X last June and was supposed to come out in November 2021.
According to VGC, the exclusive footage “shows the opening sections of the game running in Fidelity Mode, which supports native 4K resolution and ray tracing enabled, targeting 30fps.”
Rockstar Games recently announced three different graphics modes for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of GTA V: Fidelity Mode, Performance Mode, and Performance RT. Fidelity Mode offers the highest visual quality and Performance Mode the most responsive gameplay. Meanwhile, Performance RT is billed as a hybrid of the other two modes.
“These new versions also offer across-the-board improvements including faster loading times, increased population and traffic variety, increased vegetation density, improved lighting quality across shadows, water reflections, and other elements. Plus improved anti-aliasing, motion-blur, highly detailed new explosions, fire, and much more,” Rockstar says.
Pre-orders are not yet open on PS5. However, you can pre-order for $19.99 on Xbox Series X|S.
