Aksys Games and Idea Factory announced today the release of Dairoku: Agents of Sakuratani, a new romantic adventure game. We put ourselves in the shoes of Akitsu Shino as she does her best to meet these creatures and save them from falling into interdimensional danger.

This new otome game depicts the narrative of Akitsu Shino, a girl who has the power to see spirits, apparitions, and strange things that others cannot. Let’s imagine our buddy Akitsu Shino had an unusual and “tough” upbringing, but as an adult, her skill leads her to join a covert government agency: The Department of Occult Action.
Her position is the Sixth Bureau of Special Preventions, and her mission is to monitor strong beings that travel between her planet and the realms beyond. Agent Shino encounters numerous otherworldly beings with extremely varied personalities and talents from her office in Sakuratani, a city in a separate dimension: a nine-tailed fox spirit, a cheeky oni, and others.
The main issue is that, as an otome, Agent Shino falls in love with none other than these otherworldly entities from Japanese mythology who inhabit the mystical region of Sakuratani. She is part guardian and half diplomat, and she does her best to get to know these beings and keep them out of interdimensional danger, despite the fact that the heart is sometimes stronger than the head.
